SHS holds Nutrition Month Cookfest

The Senior High School Department held a Nutrition Month Cookfest at the Veranda, Msgr. Gabriel Bldg in observance of the Nutrition Month. The cookfest was entitled “Market Basket Cook Off Competition” which was mainly participated by the Technical Vocational (TechVoc) Students. Another competition was simultaneously held at the Veranda was entitled “Infographic/On-the-Spot Video Editing Competition” wherein Information and Communication Technology (ICT) students featured the cooking procedure of the TechVoc students. The program was attended by the students and faculty members of the SHS department.

PCC welcomes Mayor Vico Sotto

Pasig Catholic College welcomed Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto at Malinao, Pasig City. The mayor met the administrators, headed by College President Fr. Orlindo Ordoña, who talked with the mayor about the programs, developments and issues currently faced by PCC. Mayor Sotto responded positively on the programs and development and promised to support to the PCC as he has a larger picture of the educational system of Pasig City. He also suggested to the administrators to participate in the Local School Board to strengthen inclusiveness in the governance of the educational system in Pasig City.


SHS Department holds Student Development and Formation Program

The Senior High School Department held the Student Development and Formation Program at the San Pedro Calungsod Hall, Msgr. Sunga Bldg and Aula Minor, Msgr. Gabriel Bldg. The program was attended by the student leaders of department.

The first part of the program started at the San Pedro Calungsod Hall. The first resource speaker was Mr. Roden M. Mansuelo, Coordinator at Pasig Diocesan Youth Ministry. He shared an in-depth explanation of the Year of the Youth and  experiences that show his commitment to become beloved, gifted, and empowered to deliver Christ’s mission. The second resource speaker was Mr. Ramon Tambis, Jr., SCB coordinator. He tackled the importance of self-esteem as part of personal branding and identity of an individual. The third speaker was Mr. Michael Medina, SHS Assistant Principal. He discussed how to enforce the PCCian values inside and outside the campus.

The second part of the program took place at the Aula Minor. The final resource speaker was Hon. Mayor Vico Sotto who tackled the characteristics of the 21st century leaders. He also discussed the potential of the youth to become new leaders of this country. Furthermore, he led the induction of the student leaders of Senior High School department. Mr. Gino Cruz delivered the Closing Remarks, on behalf of SHS Assistant Principal Mr. Michael Medina, wherein he thanked the department and staff for the success of the first day of the program.
