College Department holds “JPIAlympics”

The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants of the College Department held their “JPIAlympics” at St. Joseph Gymnasium.

The event started with the Mixed Volleyball division. Team Gian emerged victorius in the game winning 3 sets against Team Cjay. Team Gian won 27-25 and 25-18 in Sets 1 and 2, respectively. Team Cjay won in the third set with 19-25 before Team Gian emerged victorious in the final set with astounding 27-25. The winning team consisted of the following members: Gian Carlo Antiojo, Kathleen Delos Reyes, Jill Colleen Argame, Jericho Legazpi, Emerald Marie Sabrico, Patricia Mae Yulo, Harvey Santos, Kristen Marie Cahilo with Isaac Paulo Llorca as the Most Valuable Player.

In the Men’s Basketball division, Team Kent won after toppling several teams. The winning team members were Angelo Jordan, Jericho Legazpi, Kent Brylle Ruga with Ramon Joshua Tuazon as the Most Valuable Player.

In the Women’s Basketball division, Team Jill emerged victorious in the game. The members of the winning team were Jill Colleen Argame, Denise Justine Galdores, Emerald Marie Sabuco with Patricia Mae Yulo, as the Most Valuable Player.

Meanwhile, in the Mixed Doubles Badminton division, Emerald Marie Sabuco and Christian Jay Ramos emerged as the Champion after defeating Gian Carlo Antiojo and Denise Justine Galdones who got the 1st Runner Up. Harvey Kim Santos and Grace Patricia Teope bagged the 2nd Runner Up.

A short Palarong Pinoy was held after the sportsfest wherein the students of JPIA enjoyed and showcased their competitiveness, skills and sportsmanship. Mrs. Jenny Charanguero, Program Coordinator of Accountancy, supervised the event.
