Junior High School Department conducts Anti-Bullying Seminar

The Junior High School (JHS) Department of Pasig Catholic College conducted a seminar to the Grade 9 students on June 28, 2019 at the Aula Minor which was coordinated by the department’s guidance office.  

It started with a prayer followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The seminar’s guest speaker was Mr. Giovanni Carlo L. Atendido, a registered Guidance Counselor and a faculty of Far Eastern University. He shared insights on situations and experiences in bullying. He discussed the importance of discussing bullying in schools and taught some valuable information to the students. He also showed a short video clip about the effects of bullying. Lastly, he shared tips and strategies on how to report and avoid bullying in school.   


PCC conducts practice for Institutional Mass of the Holy Spirit

June 27, 2019 – Mr. Mardy B. Bedana lead the song practice, which was attended by the students from various departments, for the Institutional Mass of the Holy Spirit.

IOSA conducts Parent’s Orientation on Scholars

June 27, 2019 – The Institutional Office of Student Affairs (IOSA), in coordination with the Guidance Office of Grade School to Senior High School, conducted a Parent’s Orientation on PCC’s Scholarship Programs.

PCC joins PaDSS in celebrating the Mass of the Holy Spirit

Pasig Catholic College (PCC) joined the Pasig Diocesan Schools System (PaDSS) in celebrating the Mass of the Holy Spirit with the theme “Animating the Youth as Beloved, Gifted, and Empowered in Christ’s Mission” on June 26, 2019 at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Most Rev. Mylo Hubert C. Vergara, Bishop of Pasig, was the main celebrant of the mass; with Rev. Fr. Orly Cantillon, Rev. Fr. Edgar Barrameda, Fr. Orlindo F. Ordoña and Rev. Fr. Bernie Carpio as co-celebrants.

The homily of Bishop Vergara centered on the importance of Christ’s love, salvation and remembering His existence to the youth, the people, and the community and was based on Pope Francis’ letter to the youth. At the end of the mass, PaDSS awarded two retirees from PCC and Pateros Catholic School: Ms. Alicia Cuison and Ms. Lolita Evangelista, respectively for their significant contribution of service.

The mass was attended by students, faculty, non-teaching personnel, and administrators of various schools of PaDSS and some public schools from the cities of Pasig and Taguig.

For GS, JHS, and SHS, please visit the Marketing and Promotions Unit at the Executive Vice President’s (EVP) Office and secure a WAIVER FORM FOR PHOTO OPS. The first 107 signed waiver will have their photo ops at the mini stage and shall receive a token. Pictures will be posted on our FB page and website.

PCC Welcomes Students for Opening of Classes

Pasig Catholic College (PCC) welcomed students for the opening of classes for the School Year 2019-2020 on June 17, 2019 at the main campus in Malinao, Pasig City. Teachers, Non-teaching personnel and the President’s Council lined up at the facade to greet the students from Basic Education (BEd) departments as they entered the school grounds. Students enjoyed the warm welcome from the teachers, personnel, and administrators. The administration has formally opened the new theme for this school year: “PCC @ 107: Animating the Youth as Beloved, Gifted and Empowered in Christ’s Mission” together with the unveiling of its logo.

Meanwhile, at the Caniogan campus, the College department formally opened the class with a flag ceremony. Mrs. Leonora Fernandez, Dean of the College Department made an Opening Remark where she challenged the students to persevere in all things. It was followed by the awarding of students who went early to school. Likewise, Mrs. Fernandez rang the bell to formally open the  school year.


PCC conducts Institutional General Assembly

Pasig Catholic College (PCC) conducted its annual Institutional General Assembly, June 10, 2019 at the Aula Minor. The program started with a mass officiated by the College President, Rev. Fr. Orlindo F. Ordoña. The mass centered on the message of evangelization to the youth with Mary as the guide and Mother of the Church.

After the mass, the Institutional General Assembly proceeded with the introduction of new employees from teaching and non-teaching personnel. Moreover, the achievements and events of PCC last school year were showcased through a video presentation. Then, Rev. Fr. Orlindo F. Ordoña highlighted his visions and programs, such as accreditation, completion of construction and expansion of research culture, to the employees of PCC. Mrs. Rizza Cuevas, head of the Human Resources Management Office, shared the restructured ranking for teachers. Dr. Perlita R. Antonio, Vice President for Research, Planning, Development, Quality Assurance and Extension, discussed the Staff Management Audit which aims to improve the quality of service rendered by non-teaching personnel. Dr. Rolando E. Robledo, Vice President for Administration and Finance, shared more programs and proposed incentives to the employees.

The program ended with the community singing “Let Me Be the Bearer of Your Love”.
