Pasig Catholic College hosted the Manila Ecclesiastical Parochial School System Association (MaPSA) Diocesan Fora at San Pedro Calungsod Hall, Msgr. Sunga Bldg. The MAPSA Diocesan Fora was attended by student leaders from Dioceses of Pasig, Parañaque, and Antipolo accompanied by their catechists.
The objectives of the fora were: immersing the student leaders in celebration of the Year of the Youth, actively engage the youth in the activities for the upcoming MaPSA General Assembly, and solicit suggestions to implement religion as core of the curriculum.
The fora’s guest speaker was Nicole Perez from the Archdiocese of Manila. She is one of the auditors last Synod of Bishops on Youth in Rome. She gave activities and lecture to the student leaders under MaPSA that they need to use their faith in God and knowledge in Catholic education as tools for evangelization of the community. The lecture of Perez was based on Pope Francis’ apostolic exhortation titled “Christus Vivit” meaning “Christ is Alive” which is dedicated to the youth.
