PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Bachelor of Arts in Communication (AB in Communication) as a field of study covers the various ways by which humans communicate. It focuses on how verbal and non-verbal messages are used to create meanings in different contexts using diverse media platforms. It includes a broad range of subject matter ranging from the study of communication in interpersonal relationships, groups, organizations, and cultures.

Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (AB in Journalism) program contribute to knowledge and understanding of public, social and cultural institutions and issues. It stresses the importance of free and responsible news media to the maintenance of an informed citizenry and rights to self-governance in a democracy. The program is professionally oriented and develops students’ critical thinking skills and ability to gather, analyze and organize information and to communicate it clearly and responsibly using multiple media platforms. These include print, broadcast, online and other new media.
